A Nurturing Start to Learning
At Annunciation Catholic Preschool, we provide a warm and engaging environment where our youngest learners—infants through four-year-olds—begin their educational journey. Our caring teachers nurture each child's curiosity, social-emotional development, and early learning skills through hands-on experiences and faith-filled activities. With a focus on exploration, creativity, and foundational academics, we inspire a love for learning, encourage joyful discovery, and foster a strong connection to Catholic values from the very start.
INFANTS
Infants thrive through sensory exploration and interactions with their physical environment. At Annunciation Catholic Preschool, trusted caregivers provide a nurturing atmosphere that fosters essential early learning experiences, laying the foundation for future development.
Infants enrolled in the program engage daily in activities across four key learning domains: cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development. Interactions with caregivers include simple prayers and Bible stories, introducing them to the faith from the very start.
Infants receive individualized care, including feeding, changing, and cuddling, throughout the day. The Frog Street Curriculum is incorporated into daily activities to support early development.
ONE-YEAR OLDS
One-year-olds learn by exploring their environment through sensory experiences, movement, and social interaction. The program at Annunciation Catholic Preschool provides ample opportunities for children to practice new skills, fostering independence and self-confidence.
Although sharing is not yet a developed concept at this age, age-appropriate toys are always available to encourage self-directed play and imagination. Simple art projects, songs, stories, and finger plays are introduced to engage and stimulate early learning. Outdoor play is incorporated daily, weather permitting.
Faith development is nurtured through Bible stories, hymns, and religious songs, helping young children begin to understand God’s love.
TWO YEARS OLD
Two-year-olds develop language rapidly and strengthen their communication skills through interactive storybooks, songs, and creative play. The program at Annunciation Catholic Preschool encourages exploration and creativity through structured activities that build fine and gross motor skills.
Age-appropriate toys and play areas allow children to engage in imaginative play while fostering early cognitive skills such as color recognition, shape identification, and counting. Self-help skills, including dressing and feeding themselves, are encouraged to promote independence.
Faith formation continues with Bible stories, hymns, and religious songs, reinforcing God’s love in their daily routine.
THREE YEARS OLD
Three-year-olds exhibit growing independence and curiosity. Annunciation Catholic Preschool fosters their learning through hands-on exploration, storytelling, S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities, and structured play.
Children refine self-help skills, make choices about friendships and activities, and expand their understanding of the world. Through formalized religious instruction, they begin learning core tenets of the Catholic faith.
FOUR YEARS OLD
Four-year-olds are inquisitive learners who actively explore and document the world around them. At Annunciation Catholic Preschool, children participate in writing workshops, S.T.R.E.A.M. projects, and small group instruction focusing on math and literacy. Physical activity is encouraged through outdoor play and structured movement exercises.
Faith development deepens as children engage in service projects and religious education, helping them understand that faith is not just learned but lived.
Annunciation Catholic Academy campus is located on Jamestown Boulevard, west of Montgomery Road, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Four two-story buildings comprising more than 65,000 sq. ft. are configured around a central courtyard featuring a statue of Our Lady. A separate, fully air-conditioned gymnasium is located adjacent to the school.
