Annunciation Catholic Preschool (ACP), established in 1992, is dedicated to providing high quality day care and early childhood education for children from the age of six weeks to pre-K of registered Annunciation Catholic Church parishioners. We have a loving, dedicated staff of administrators and trained teachers working with the children. We maintain a low student teacher ratio. We believe children will learn best through active participation. We encourage parent’s participation through our parent’s organization, T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More).

Annunciation Catholic Preschool offers flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of our community. We offer extended-day care for infants from 7am – 6pm. For our One and Two Year Old Program, we offer a 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day a week program. Within the 2 to 5 day a week program, there is the preschool schedule from 7:00am – 12:00pm that follows our Annunciation Catholic Academy calendar, and the extended-day schedule from 7:00am – 6:00pm. For our pre-k students in the threes and fours, we offer the same flexibility however the program hours are from 8:00am – 1:30pm, and the extended-day schedule is from 7:00am – 6:00pm.

Our classes are grouped into infants, toddlers (younger and older), twos (younger and older), threes and fours. The child’s age on September 1 determines which year he/she may be enrolled in. Children must be fully potty trained to attend in the threes and fours. We work with parents to potty train prior to the threes.

We are licensed by the state of Florida and meet or exceed all the state’s requirements as established by the Department of Children and Families.

Under the leadership of Bishop John Noonan and the Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Henry Fortier, a renewed emphasis is being placed on meeting the spiritual and educational needs of the children and families being served by our early learning centers and preschools throughout the Diocese. To that end, we are very proud to be accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference (FCC). Early childhood programs accredited by FCC have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self study and improvement. ACP obtained accreditation by the FCC in 2016. The accreditation is valid for 7 years and this is the first time we have been accredited through the FCC! Prior to obtaining our accreditation with the FCC, ACP was accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for over 15 years.

ACP has been a Seminole County VPK provider since 2008. As part of the VPK program, children participating in the VPK program are tested at the beginning of the following year in kindergarten to assess the effectiveness of the VPK program they participated in. Our children consistently test as high performing. ACP earned a score of 200, which is the highest score possible. Please contact us or visit the Seminole County’s VPK website for more details about the VPK program.

At ACP we use the Frog Street Curriculum from birth through VPK. This program uses the latest developments in brain research to ensure a curriculum that meets the physical, social emotional, language, and cognitive needs of our students from the youngest of ages. It provides beautifully illustrated stories, lively discussions and a great variety of hands-on activities that delights children and fosters confidence as it systematically builds the skills they need to learn to be well rounded members of our community. We also use the program “Discovering God’s Love” to teach our older children the basic foundational skills of our faith. This program helps us to develop the spiritual needs of our students. We also offer Spanish and Computer Enrichment as extra-curricular activities in the afternoons.

We are committed to our ministry and mission to care for and teach infants, toddlers and pre-K students in a loving faith-filled Catholic environment. For further information or to schedule an appointment to tour the facility, please contact us at 407-869-9404.
